The topic “The Mandalorian Star Emily Swallow Reveals Whether The Armorer Will Return In Season 4” has two versions, a written version, and a video version below the written version.
The Armorer’s Emily Swallow weighs in on her return to The Mandalorian for season 4 and shares her thoughts on where the character arc could go.
The Armorer has quickly become a fan favorite among viewers of The Mandalorian. In the last episode, she followed Bo-Katan Kryze’s lead and showed support for a reformed Mandalore. This came as a surprise to many fans who speculated that she might betray Din Djarin by revealing her collaboration with Moff Gideon. Although it was a compelling theory, it was a relief that it did not come true because spending time with The Armorer has been fun. Recently, actress Emily Swallow was asked by The Direct if she has any information on the Armorer’s return in The Mandalorian’s fourth season.
“I honestly don’t know. I really hope so, but I have no specifics about what direction this next season is going off into,” Swallow said. “I love the Armorer so much, and I love especially this last season that she and [Bo-Katan] sort of defied expectations in working together and I love that.”
“I love that both of them were willing to sort of look outside these very strongly held beliefs that they’ve had to see what was gonna benefit the Mandalorian people as a whole, and to take a chance, to take a big risk, because for either of them, they could have lost the respect of their factions by aligning with the other.”
“And I would love to see more of how this new combined Mandalorian society plays out,” she continues.
“Of course, I always want to know, like, ‘Well what else is the Armorer up to? What does she do when she’s not having to now drag her forge to different planets all the time, now that she sort of has a home base?'”
The Armorer’s backstory, her connection with Grogu, and the potential introduction of an apprentice are all concepts that could be explored in the future. The Mandalorian star presented a compelling argument for why we can expect to see the helmeted warrior again.
“I feel like it’s been established now that the Armorer is always integral to whatever Din Djarin is doing,” the actress says. “I feel like he has to check in with her from time to time, so I feel like we should see her, but I have no certain verification that we will.”
It is highly likely that The Armorer will make a comeback, but we are uncertain about the extent of her involvement in the rest of the Star Wars universe. The production of The Mandalorian season 4 is scheduled to commence next year, and if everything goes according to plan, it may premiere on Disney+ in late 2024 or early 2025.
