Captain Rex from Star Wars has made his debut in live-action through the Ahsoka series on Disney+.
He was first introduced in the Clone Wars animated series as a member of Anakin Skywalker’s 501st Legion of Clone Troopers. As the show progressed, he and Ahsoka Tano bonded over their shared experiences on the battlefield and grew closer.
Following the events of Order 66, the two individuals who managed to survive together went their separate ways for a period of time. They briefly encountered each other once more in the second season of Star Wars Rebels. It remains unclear what Captain Rex has been up to during the New Republic’s rule after the events of Return of the Jedi.
Nonetheless, fans can rest assured that he is still alive since he is known to have fought and emerged victorious in the Battle of Endor.
Captain Rex, Welcome to Live-Action

Fans have eagerly awaited the live-action debut of Captain Rex, and it has finally arrived in this episode. The beloved character is seen wearing the recognizable armor from the final season of The Clone Wars, as Ahsoka leads the 332nd Company into battle on Mandalore.

Lucasfilm got Temuera Morrison to voice one line as Rex briefly interacts with Ahsoka: “Nice work commander. We’ll secure the perimeter.”
Assuming that Ahsoka’s experiences were real, they would have taken place shortly before finding themselves on a spaceship during Order 66.
When Will Captain Rex Return?
Captain Rex’s fans have been eagerly awaiting his appearance, but his first cameo in the Clone Wars was unexpected.
Now the question on everyone’s mind is when Temuera Morrison will reprise the role in a more substantial capacity. It’s clear that he would be keen to lend a hand against Thrawn and the Remnants of the Empire.
It’s unfortunate that Ahsoka won’t have much time to spend with Rex. The upcoming Season will probably revolve around Ahsoka and Sabine traveling to a new galaxy and reuniting with Ezra and Thrawn.
If Ahsoka gets another season, Captain Rex would be a great addition to the team. Maybe he could even bring Zeb along for a reunion with their old teammates.
