The topic “Only One MCU Film Will Be Release In 2024” has two versions, a written version, and a video version below the written version.
Marvel Studios had originally intended to release four MCU films in 2024, but they have since decided to postpone the remaining three until 2025 and release one of the films.
A lot of the future MCU films have already been postponed to later dates because of the Hollywood strikes by writers and performers.
But now that the work action on both fronts has officially ended, filming on other upcoming projects and some movies, such as Deadpool 3 and Captain America: Brave New World, can start.
The titles that will be released in the upcoming years will all be impacted, even after the strikes have ended. There may be more delays or even a thorough review of the Phase 5 and 6 slate.
Deadpool 3 To Be the Only 2024 MCU Movie

A number of future MCU films have been postponed from 2024 to 2025, according to Disney and Marvel Studios.
As of this present, Deadpool 3 is the only MCU film scheduled for release in 2024.
Deadpool 3 was slated to hit theaters on May 3, 2024, but it was pushed back to July 26, 2024—the day Captain America: Brave New World was meant to open.
Consequently, Blade was postponed until November 7, 2025, Thunderbolts was rescheduled for July 25, 2025, and Brave New World was formally moved to February 14, 2025.
The recently concluded Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) strike was the primary cause of these delays.
What Effects Will the Delays Have on the MCU as a Whole?
With this latest postponement, the release dates of just four future films were rescheduled. However, it will still have an impact on the other titles that were left out.
For instance, Fantastic Four is currently scheduled for release in theaters on May 2, 2025, however filming may start as early as this spring.
But since Thunderbolts and Blade have been pushed back to July 25, 2025, and November 7, 2025, respectively, it’s possible that Fantastic Four will also be shifted in the future, particularly if Thunderbolts and Blade can’t be released after it in terms of story.
If the many fans’ predictions about Fantastic Four’s direct setup and progression into Avengers: The Kang Dynasty are accurate, the film may now be released in February 2026.
In order to prevent fans from becoming discouraged, Marvel Studios would have a sizable buffer following Blade and before to The Kang Dynasty.
It’s crucial to remember, though, that none of the upcoming Avengers movies will probably have to be pushed back at all as a result of these latest delays.
Marvel Studios has positioned The Kang Dynasty (set for release on May 1, 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (releasing on May 7, 2027) so that none of these recent decisions will have an impact on them.
