New The Marvels Trailer Teases Major Thor Character Cameo

A probable cameo for a character from the Thor franchise was shown in the most recent trailer for Marvel Studios’ The Marvels.

Thor’s final appearance in the MCU was in the 2022 film Thor: Love and Thunder, in which he embarked on a crazy intergalactic journey with Valkyrie, Jane Foster, and Korg.

Tessa Thompson’s headshot was discovered among other cast photos for Captain Marvel 2, leading to speculation that the Valkyrie may make an appearance. However, nothing has been officially confirmed.

Thor Character in The Marvels Trailer

Valkyrie, who is best recognized for her roles in the final two films of the Thor quadrilogy, may make an appearance in Marvel Studios’ newest trailer for The Marvels.

The spatial energy that many Asgardians use to swiftly traverse the Nine Realms of the Marvel Cinematic Universe can be seen appearing in the sky in what appears to be a shot near the end of the trailer.

The use of the Bifrost to travel to Carol Danvers’ Hoopty spacecraft in Captain Marvel 2 suggests that either Thor, Valkyrie, or another Asgardian may appear in the sequel.

This comes amid reports that Valkyrie will truly be romantically involved with Carol Danvers, played by Brie Larson, in this film—a plot component that many fans have hoped would materialize.

The Bifrost Bridge may be seen beginning at the 26-second mark in the newest promotional video for The Marvels:

Will Valkyrie Appear in Captain Marvel 2?

Given that Thor from Avengers: Endgame appeared in a recent preview of The Marvels, it’s impossible to rule out the possibility of a Valkyrie cameo at this point.

However, with so many other characters in this group to catch up with—most notably Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan—it seems unlikely that Valkyrie will play a significant part in this sequel.

According to current sources, The Marvels will be the shortest movie in the MCU’s history, clocking in at only 105 minutes. As a result, the story will likely center on the movie’s three main heroines.

Only time will tell, however, how much drama and action can be crammed into that length, as other reports suggest that the sequel will really heavily tie into the Multiverse Saga’s overall plot.

The Marvels is scheduled to hit theaters on November 10 on a Friday.
