The villains in the newest upcoming Disney+ series from the MCU, Secret Invasion, have been given additional information.
With Secret Invasion being officially recognized as the MCU’s first true “crossover event” (although it’s unclear what that actually entails), it’s expected to be one of the largest MCU Disney+ shows yet.
A group of rogue Skrulls that have been invading Earth over the past few years will be the antagonists that Nick Fury and Talos will face in this series, forcing the unlikely team to cooperate in order to identify which MCU characters are imposters.
Another rumor offers viewers additional information about the next opponent, who was previously known to be the “rogue Skrull leader Gravik” according to merchandise.
Secret Invasion Rumor Teases Villain Details
Secret Invasion, a 2023 Disney+ series, featured new information about the malevolent ambitions of the Skrulls that was provided by The Cosmic Circus.
The rumor hinted that Russia and its neighbors would be important sites for the rogue Skrull faction commanded by Kingsley Ben-opponent, Adir’s which would help to explain why the series is set there.
The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant may be located in one particular region of Russia that will apparently be important to the rogue Skrulls’ intentions. It’s uncertain, though, if Chernobyl will be identified or if it will simply be a secret nuclear power plant.
The contraption, which was depicted in the teaser that debuted at the D23 Fan Expo, is reported to be something the Skrulls are constructing in the plant’s underground levels and will consume a lot of power.
Despite the fact that it is still unknown what the device performs, the most popular notion at the moment is that it will be utilized to make the Super Skrulls from the MCU.
Introducing Super Skrulls in Secret Invasion?
The stakes for what the MCU’s interpretation of the Secret Invasion storyline could bring have already been raised by the dozen big celebrities that have been confirmed or are speculated to appear in this series.
The use of a “Skrull God” in this series has been hinted at in other items, which may be what ultimately causes the Super Skrulls to be produced later on in the story.
The series will probably not appear on Disney+ until sometime in June, which is a substantial delay from the show’s initial Spring 2023 release schedule.
When the story materializes, the Skrulls will once more play a crucial role in the MCU’s larger Earth-bound narrative as fans wait to learn who might be trying to take over the world.
Later this year, Secret Invasion will make its Disney+ debut.
