According to Deadline Marvel Studios has hired writer Matthew Orton to write new scenes for Captain America 4. The film will undergo a reshoot schedule, and additional photography is expected to take place in Spring and Summer 2024 after the rewrites are complete.

Orton served as a consulting producer on the Disney+ series Moon Knight previously, and it is unclear what changes will be made to the movie. Captain America 4 has already undergone some noticeable changes since its announcement at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. The most notable change was the switch in the subtitle from New World Order to Brave New World. Marvel made this move to avoid any signs of perceived antisemitism.

What Changes Will Come to Captain America 4?

Captain America 4’s release date has been pushed back, leaving many to wonder how the film will look after the reshoots. Currently, little is known about the story, but it is expected to follow up on events from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk and feature the return of three characters, including the main villain, who haven’t been seen in almost two decades.
