The topic “Loki Season 2: New Cast Members Joining Tom Hiddleston’s MCU Show” has two versions, a written version below, and a video version below the written version.
The upcoming release of Loki Season 2 has generated excitement among fans who are eager to see their favorite characters return. Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as the God of Mischief, joined by Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, as they embark on an adventure through time and space in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The returning cast members include Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Tara Strong, Wunmi Mosaku, Neil Ellice, and Jonathan Majors. Alongside these familiar faces, the series also introduces new characters that Loki and Mobius will encounter.
While some of these characters may have been glimpsed in the trailer, we’ve put together a guide to help you get to know them better.
Ke Huy Quan
Ke Huy Quan is experiencing a remarkable career resurgence. As a child star in the 1980s, he gained fame with prominent roles in two major films, Indiana Jones And Temple Of Doom and The Goonies. However, after his performance in the 2002 Hong Kong film Second Time Around, he took a hiatus from acting for almost two decades. Quan made a comeback in 2021 with a part in the Netflix adventure movie Finding O’Hana. He then signed on for Everything Everywhere All At Once and his life changed.
Quan’s performance in the film received rave reviews, and he found himself on stage at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood in March 2023, accepting the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. His career is at an all-time high, and this has earned him a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has joined the cast of Loki for Season 2 and will portray Ouroboros, also known as OB – a Time Variance Authority Agent who designs and repairs advanced technologies.
Rafael Casal
Rafael Casal arrived in Hollywood with a bang in 2018, showcasing his versatile talents as an actor, filmmaker, and co-writer. He collaborated with Daveed Diggs and Carlos López Estrada to create Blindspotting, a film that received critical acclaim and was followed by a successful two-season run of a TV series on Starz. Casal has also been busy starring in films like Bad Education and Wildcat, as well as appearing in series such as Are You Afraid Of The Dark and The Good Lord Bird.
In the second season of Loki, Casal portrays a character named Brad Wolfe. Although we know little about his character, we can see from the trailer that he is being pursued by the Time Variance Authority and is eventually apprehended at the premiere of a film called The Zaniac!
Liz Carr
Liz Carr, an English actor, made her screen debut in 2013 by joining the cast of the long-standing British crime series Silent Witness. She first appeared in the sixteenth season and has since appeared in a total of 79 episodes. In addition to this show, she has a notable filmography in genre work, including appearances in The OA, Devs, The Witcher, and Good Omens. Her list of roles is now expanding with a part in Loki Season 2.
However, we have little information about her character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite being identified as Judge Gamble on the IMDb page for Loki, this name has not been mentioned in any official materials about the show, and she does not appear in any promotional materials we have seen. We may have to wait until the premiere of Season 2 to learn more about Carr’s role.
Kate Dickie
Kate Dickie, a talented performer from the UK, has an impressive portfolio of genre films and television shows. Fans of fantasy may recognize her from Game of Thrones or The Green Knight, while those who enjoy science fiction may remember her from Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Prometheus. Horror buffs may also recall her from her role in The Witch. While she has not previously been part of a comic book franchise, that is changing with her involvement in Loki Season 2.
However, like Liz Carr, we know very little about Dickie’s character in the Disney+ series. She has not been featured in any of the released footage, and Marvel Studios has not yet disclosed her role. It’s possible that her character will be a big surprise for viewers.
Bonus: Eugene Cordero
Although Eugene Cordero has appeared in three episodes of Loki Season 1 as the Time Variance Authority’s receptionist, he’s been included on this list because he’s playing a different role in Season 2, and his role has expanded. Deadline reported that Cordero will be a series regular and will play Hunter K-5E in the new episodes. Fans of the series may recall that Season 1 ended with the titular protagonist in an alternate version of the TVA.
Before joining the MCU, Cordero trained in improv at Chicago City Limits and Upright Citizens Brigade. He primarily worked doing single episodes of various TV shows and had recurring roles on shows like House Of Lies, Other Space, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and The Good Place. He also played a regular role in the first three seasons of Tacoma FD and gained popularity in geek circles for his role as Samanthan Rutherford on the animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks.
The first episode of Loki Season 2 is set to arrive for Disney+ subscribers on October 5 at 9:00 pm ET/6:00 pm PT.
