Chris Hemsworth's Thor: Love and Thunder, whose tickets have recently gone on sale, has a unique honor: it's the first MCU hero to get a fourth solo movie. Chris Evans' Captain America: Civil War was his third and last, while Robert Downey Jr. hasn't had a performance in Iron Man film since 2013's Iron Man 3. Obviously, fans have no clue about what's in store from the Taika Waititi project. Indeed, even after two trailers, it's difficult to make out how the adventure is set to go down.
Watch the story below:
On one hand, the film looks incredibly vibrant and loaded with life. Moreover, everybody appears to have lots of fun in Waititi's stunning world — particularly Natalie Portman's Jane Foster, who looks very fitting as the Mighty Thor.
Then there's Christian Bale's Gorr the God Butcher, who looks prepared to tear everything down. It's difficult to envision Portman's Jane and Hemsworth's Odinson will be having a cheerful reunion for very long.
Ahead of the movie's release in less than a month, Marvel has uncovered a large number of new vibrant posters for the impending project.
New Love and Thunder Posters
Marvel Studios and Disney have released brand new character posters for their impending movie Thor: Love and Thunder.
Chris Hemsworth's titular God of Thunder comes into the spotlight using his now-iconic Stormbreaker weapon.
Jane Foster's God of Thunder takes in the lighting and thunder as she holds the previously broken Mjolnir.
Christian Bale's Gorr the God Butcher stands menacingly against a foreboding scenery of a blood-red sky, and it sincerely looks pretty scary.
Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie stands tall as the King of New Asgard, wielding her classic blade in her right hand.
Korg, Taika Waititi's adorable rock, looks prepared to take on the world.
Russell Crowe's Zeus is highlighted in his own poster, holding one of his iconic lightning bolts as he stands tall over Olympus.
The last character poster showcases Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjostr, Thor's magic goats.
The IMAX poster celebrates how the film was recorded for the format, as Gorr the God Butcher prowls behind the titular heroes, prepared to strike without warning.
Real D 3D's poster spotlights on showcasing the depth of Chris Hemsworth's muscles to audiences — a promoting technique that will without a doubt work for many viewers.
Dolby Cinema's poster is the most lively of the bundle and has Zen Thor up front and center.
With regards to lively colors, in any case, Screen X captures everyone's attention — there's even a hint of some Ragnarok green to one side.
Gorr to Shatter the Love and Thunder?
In view of the promotion alone, there's a generally excellent possibility Thor: Love and Thunder will be one of the most lively and colorful adventures the MCU has at any point seen. This isn't quite surprising given how Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok may right now hold that spot, and the director referenced how this next one is everything dialed up significantly more.
Regardless of the vibrancy, Bale's Gorr is still on a mission to remove all that happiness. Indeed, even his scenes, or possibly some of them, are in black and white. Ideally, the titular love between Jane Foster and Thor Odinson isn't broken thanks to the God Butcher's campaign.
Fans just have less than a month to go before the film is at long last here. Ideally, it's ready to satisfy all the hype and expectation — something that tragically doesn't appear to have been the situation for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Thor: Love and Thunder hits cinemas on July 8.
