A new set of insider reports suggests that the movie will be directly tied to Avengers: Secret Wars. Since the announcement of Deadpool 3, many have speculated as to how the film will bring back Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine without compromising his character’s legacy. According to insiders, the plot of the movie will revolve around the Time Variance Authority (TVA) recruiting “prime” versions of characters to fight Kang in Avengers: Secret Wars:

If it is true, it will be interesting to know which characters Deadpool 3 will feature as the “Prime version”, according to the TVA. While it is widely agreed that Hugh Jackman is the definitive Wolverine, it is uncertain which characters from within or outside of the MCU will make it to the team in Avengers: Secret Wars. Regardless of who ends up on the team, Kang has a tough battle ahead in his quest for multiversal dominance!
Who else is attached to the Deadpool threequel?
Shawn Levy, who worked with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project, will direct Deadpool 3. It is also a reunion for Levy and Hugh Jackman, who previously collaborated on Real Steel. The script for the upcoming Marvel Studios project is being developed by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who penned the first two installments in the series. The Molyneux sisters worked on a previous version of the script.
Deadpool 3 is scheduled for release on November 8, 2024.
