The topic “Daredevil Star Announces Exit from X” has two versions, a written version, and a video version below the written version.
Unexpectedly, one of the stars of the upcoming Disney+ Daredevil revival, Daredevil: Born Again, disappeared from his X (formerly Twitter) profile.
Fans were astonished to find of the problems Daredevil: Born Again is having, with Marvel Studios looking to redo the series from the ground up despite having already spent several months in production before the Hollywood standstill occurred, and the show’s writing crew being sacked after the writers’ strike.
Following that revelation, Daredevil actor and series star Vincent D’Onofrio declared that the cast and crew are “going to bring forward the best series [they] can,” reiterating his confidence in the Marvel team to handle Daredevil properly.
Daredevil Star Leaves X Social Media Platform
Vincent D’Onofrio, who is featured in Daredevil: Born Again, revealed on his social media accounts that he is quitting X.
He sent love to his 485,000 followers and said that he’s “going to leave very soon,” adding that he’s been considering this choice for some time:
“So everyone i’m going to leave X. I’m going to leave very soon. To my amazing and loyal followers: You know I have been contemplating this for a long while. Today is the day. I leave you for now with much love to you all.”
He added that he’s contemplating abandoning Instagram as well, giving the impression that, should the urge arise, he would return someday with “a brand new account”:
“Don’t think I’m going to be spending anytime on any platform. Feeling like leaving Instagram today as well. I’ll come back soon or maybe later. I don’t know. Maybe with a brand new account.”
In order to leave his admirers with a message of inspiration, he ended his message with a brief poem that he had previously written:
“I wrote this once: ‘Time stops when I’m with you. Airplanes halt in the sky. The three children still, hands raised to a ball stuck hanging in the air. All others disappear and you and I at a table in a meadow somewhere in the world embraced in conversation and lust. We lived there. I’m there still I believe. I believe that time stopped when I was with you.’”
D’Onofrio has been quite active on social media for years; most recently, he hinted that he might return in the Hawkeye series on Disney+ in 2021 as Kingpin.
This occurs while D’Onofrio waits to resume production on Daredevil: Born Again due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, even though the MCU remake is now undergoing a complete rewrite for Disney+.
When Will Daredevil Reboot Debut on Disney+?
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe who have become accustomed to seeing D’Onofrio’s commentary on a part that he has grown to love will undoubtedly be disappointed to see him leave social media.
But for now, the most often asked questions are when D’Onofrio will be able to resume work on his Daredevil series and when the program will eventually make its Disney+ premiere.
Most recently, fans learned that one significant character from the Netflix series Daredevil had been formally recast, prompting many to wonder how precisely that program would fit into the larger MCU canon storyline.
The expectation is growing to see just how strong and terrible D’Onofrio would be in his return, but he is sporting a new, fitter appearance than he had in previous roles as Kingpin.
The release of Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ is presently expected to occur in 2025.
