Captain Marvel 2 Reveals Brie Larson’s New Superhero Costume (Trailer)

Prior to The Marvels’ November premiere, Marvel Studios finally made the first footage of the trailer available online.

After numerous delays, the sequel starring Brie Larson has officially started its marketing campaign. The events of Captain Marvel 2 were set up in Ms. Marvel’s post-credits scene, including the revelation that Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers will don a new superhero outfit in the film.

But the MCU’s cosmic hero’s new outfit for the Disney+ series isn’t the only one he’s worn recently.

First Look at Brie Larson's New Captain Marvel Costume

The highly awaited MCU sequel The Marvels, starring Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel, has received its first teaser trailer, which was released by Marvel Studios.

Most significantly, at the 1:40 mark of the video, Larson’s new Captain Marvel outfit for the follow-up was seen, coupled with the first official glimpses of Parris’ and Vellani’s superhero costumes in action:

A massive lightning bolt or an enlarged Hala star sign looks to be at the front of Brie Larson’s garment.

The cosmic Avenger is also brandishing an Accuser hammer, which Ronan the Accuser initially employed in Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy. The character of Zawe Ashton was initially shown using the hammer in the trailer:

Why Is Carol Danvers Wearing a New Superhero Costume?

Brie Larson’s new outfit in Captain Marvel 2 is rather appropriate given that the MCU has a pattern of giving sequel-based main characters new outfits. In their separate sequels, Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor all wore distinct uniforms.

Carol Danvers’ new outfit is not known for what reason, although the trailer implied that the Avenger will wear it during the decisive battle. Furthermore, the superhero costume’s nod to Mar-Vell’s outfit in a classic way may be a clue to its connection to her Kree heritage.

The core trio can be seen getting together in an unidentified base in the trailer’s concluding sequence. This might be the moment Carol discovers her new superhero outfit, setting up the sequel’s climactic conflict.

The newest teaser for The Marvels gave viewers a sneak peek at the thrilling switcheroo plot that the three main heroes will experience in the sequel as their powers intertwine. It also provided the first glimpse of the MCU characters played by Park Soo-joon and the frightening antagonist played by Zawe Ashton.

On November 10, The Marvels will have their theatrical release.
